6th Annual Fredericksburg St. Patrick's Day Parade & Vol. Fire Dep. Fundrasier

6th Annual Fredericksburg St. Patrick's Day Parade & Volunteer Fire Department Fundrasier kicked off on Saturday March 15th. It was a beautiful day, and I was excited to meet Miss Spotsylvania Regency Winners: Ashley Hooker, Miss Spotsylvania Laura Long, Teen Miss Spotsylvania, Kayla Ennis, America's Fit Miss, Julie Brown, Kristin Hooker 2007 Miss East Coast USA Fitness Supreme and Carlyn Kirwin the 2006 Washington DC Rose of Trelee.

I also met the Ancient Order of the Hibernians with AoH State Past-President Hugh O'Brien and Myles Gerian, Embassy of Ireland.

My Escort was Mr. Rinker in his 1981, Ireland built, DeLorean! How fun! We were a big hit!

The Road M.A.P. to Healthy Skin

Joy Pfister, Mrs. Virginia International 2008, is a spokesperson for the American Melanoma Foundation (AMF). She is working diligently toward heightening public awareness on the dangers of skin cancer. Through her fashionable sun protective swim and active wear, Kristy J, Joy is offering women around the world an opportunity to improve their skin and reduce the risk of skin cancer.
Kristy J, was offically launched in July 2007 after two full years of concept and development, and donates 5% of its sales directly to the AMF. In addition, Joy's new ultra feminine sunscreen, SunEssence, a hybrid of luxurious body lotion twisted with an SPF 30, launched in January '08 after a full year of concepts and development, and is selling Internationally. Joy is committed to educating men, women and children on the dangers of prolonged, unprotected sun exposure through speaking events, news and media events. As Mrs. Virginia International 2008, she will continue to raise public awareness about Skin Cancer through education and prevention methods along with the American Melanoma Foundation and as an educator of the government SunWise program for kids.
